Everything you need to move off spreadsheets

Import is built into every project — not a separate tool. Your columns become fields; your rows become items the whole team can work on.

  • Column mapping

Match spreadsheet headers to existing or new fields.

  • Bulk create

Import hundreds of rows in one job with clear progress.

  • Stay in sync

After import, use views and automation instead of duplicate sheets.

From file upload to live CRM in four steps

No scripts, no consultants. Upload, map, confirm — then work in the same views you use every day.

  1. 01

    Choose a project and upload

Open any project in your workspace and start an import job. Drop a CSV or Excel file — Gzodo reads the header row and shows a preview of the first rows.

    • Works per project, so each team keeps its own schema
    • Preview before create — nothing is saved until you confirm
  2. 02

    Map columns to fields

Match each spreadsheet column to a Gzodo field. Use existing fields or create new ones. Skip columns you do not need.

    • Text, number, date, select, and more field types
    • Clear mapping UI — see source column → target field
  3. 03

    Review and import

Check row count and mapping summary, then run the job. Progress is visible while rows are created.

    • Bulk create hundreds of items in one run
    • Errors are reported per row when data cannot be parsed
  4. 04

    Work in your views

Imported rows become normal project items. Switch to table, kanban, cards, or calendar without exporting again.

    • Same data everywhere — no duplicate sheets
    • Automations and permissions apply to imported items

Teams import when they need clarity, not another sheet

  • Leave Excel behind

Move client lists, vendor rosters, or internal trackers into a structured project instead of emailing files.

  • Onboard a new team

Import an existing export from another tool so everyone starts in Gzodo on day one.

  • Migrate legacy data

Bring historical rows from old CRMs or shared drives — map columns once, then search and filter in views.

  • Hand off to operations

Ops teams import CSV updates while sales keeps working in kanban on the same dataset.

Spreadsheet columns map to real field types

Gzodo validates data as it imports. Dates stay dates; numbers stay numbers — so filters and views work correctly after migration.

Your rows become items the whole team can use

  • CSV and Excel-friendly import flow
  • Works with custom field types on each project
  • Ideal for onboarding legacy lists and client exports
  • Combine with permissions so only the right people edit imported data
  • Preview rows and mapping before anything is created
  • Imported items appear instantly in table, kanban, cards, and calendar views

Common questions about import

Everything you need to know before moving your first file into Gzodo.

Will imports overwrite existing items?

No. Imports create new items based on your mapping. Existing records stay unchanged unless you edit them manually or update them through automation.

Which file formats can I upload?

You can import CSV files and Excel exports (.xlsx). The first row should contain column headers so Gzodo can match them to project fields.

Can I import into a project that already has data?

Yes. Choose any project in your workspace, upload the file, map columns to existing or new fields, and new items are added alongside what you already have.

What if my spreadsheet columns do not match field names?

You map each header to a Gzodo field in the import step. Unmapped columns are skipped. You can also create new fields during mapping if your project needs them.

What happens after the import finishes?

Each row becomes a project item. Your team can filter, edit, and move work in table or kanban, trigger workflows, and keep everything in one place instead of a shared sheet.
